Communication Strategist

Communication strategists are responsible for delivering and managing all aspects of client services for a roster of clients. Each strategist delivers support and content including media and community relations, social media, special events, creative production, and other tactics as needed. Strategists develop strategies and solutions with measurable objectives to advance clients’ goals. Strategists act as the daily contact to their assigned clients and are a consistent resource for client needs.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

·     Coordinates with strategists, directors and other team members on the strategic direction and day-to-day service for assigned clients

·     Executes on PR programs to create and maintain a favorable public image for the client

·     Works with team leads to clarify clients’ points of view and elevate clients’ brands to target audiences

·     Creates and delivers media relations content, particularly press releases, case studies, white papers, bios, newsletter and email marketing content, speaking proposals, etc.

·     Identifies, develops and executes custom pitches for key media contacts to secure earned coverage, as delegated by team leads

·     Researches media coverage and industry trends to develop fresh story ideas and angles

·     Conducts extensive media outreach and follow-up to maximize earned media coverage

·     Prepares briefing materials and facilitates press interviews and courtesy community meetings

·     Executes on plans for special events appropriate to clients’ goals and budget

·     Coordinates scheduling and logistics for special events

·     Participates in social media strategy consulting as part of the team to concept and create social media content and campaigns

·     Monitors and interprets social media analytics and reports out on data to client

 

ALL CLIENT SERVICES TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Reports regularly to clients and agency management on time spent, activity and results

·        Keeps abreast of best practices and industry trends; participates in professional development

·        Identifies potential new business opportunities with clients and prospects; works with agency management to advance ideas

·        Maintains highest professional standards; represents Gambel Communications in accordance with its culture

·        Follows guidelines and policies outlined in the agency handbook

·        Maintains confidentiality of knowledge obtained about the agency and its clients

·        Performs other tasks as assigned by agency management
