PRIMARY OBJECTIVE(S) OF POSITION

Oversee maintenance operations across three shifts to maintain the flow of work in the production maintenance work areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Model the right behavior in terms of initiative, compliance, moral character (honor, integrity and courage) and work ethic to create teamwork and mutual respect amongst employees.

2. Build team spirit, pride and camaraderie within team.

3. Promote safety, environmental responsibility and continuous quality improvement in accordance with company policies.

4. Complies with all the policies and procedures set forth in the Company Handbook.

5. Utilize performance based management tools to improve the standard of performance and development of the team members.

6. Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations to managers.

7. Ensure all team members are trained in all aspects of their role, including health and safety and quality control instructions, in order to maintain a cross functional, multi skilled workforce.

8. Deploy resources to best meet daily production goals and on time delivery.

9. Champion ISO, Lean and Six Sigma, demonstrating knowledge and commitment to the process. Uphold and sustain 5S projects.

10. Conduct process and safety audits focused on eliminating unsafe work practices and conditions. Lead the development of a safety-minded culture. Sustain good housekeeping and 5S activities in area of responsibility.

11. Work with Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to maintain project work flow and to assign and ensure preventative and predicative maintenance work orders and inspections are performed, as scheduled.

12. Monitor employee work activities, troubleshoot and diagnose unusual problems and take necessary corrective action.

13. Coordinate project work activities with both internal and external resources to maintain project work flow and meet deadlines.

14. Monitor and maintain supplies, tools and part inventory and order, as needed.

15. Document print/procedure changes and create and/or update work instructions, as required.

16. Keep Project & Maintenance Manager informed of unusual problems or delays.

17. Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned.
