Facilities Maintenance Technician

A company in Scottsdale, AZ is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician/Services Coordinator to join their team immediately. This position will be responsible for managing work ticket requests and for working with the manager to monitor and inspect the conditions of building suites, scheduling vendors, communicating with various departments; managing conference and training room requests and setups, issuing and managing badges and assisting with general building repairs as needed. This is a temporary to hire position with a pay range of $18-23 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage conference room reservations, setups, A/V equipment, company car, and moves
  • Manage schedule for office moves, assemble furniture, mount whiteboards, install monitor arms, change water filters, mount pictures and replace light bulbs, etc.; assist manager to coordinate office and workstation moves.
  • Maintain company van as well as update usage logs and keep files of repairs, license, and insurance paperwork.
  • Maintain the up keep of our suite by monitoring walls, wood floors, glass doors, hardware, carpet, window blinds, and window shades, light fixtures, painting areas as needed and keeping a log of all repairs.
  • Provide basic, minor repairs to plumbing, electrical and small appliances.
  • Schedule and monitor onsite vendors to ensure compliance.
  • Inform necessary departments, leadership, and landlord about scheduled start and end times for work, impacts to the business, and send messages to associates when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and storage rooms; ensure all tools, carts and ladders operate in the proper and safe manner and are stored in proper location at all times.
  • Maintain key cabinet with keys to offices and file cabinets.
  • Keep storage rooms, loading dock, and Facilities department neat and always organized.
  • Maintain documents in shared facilities folder and SharePoint for accurate records keeping.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of facilities/building maintenance experience
  • Microsoft Office Skills; ability to function in a multi-system Microsoft environment using Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and department software applications.
  • Knowledge of work order system, Badge and Camera systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of hand tools and performing minor repairs
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail required
