Position: Weekend Shift Manager

Company: The Cleveland Brew Shop

Reports to: Owner

Location: 4142 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44113

Normal Schedule: Saturday 10 to 5 and Sunday 10 to 2

Compensation: $12/hour

About The Cleveland Brew Shop

The Cleveland Brew Shop is a local homebrew shop (LHBS). Established in 2012, we are the only homebrew shop in Cleveland. We sell ingredients and equipment for people to make fermented beverages at home. In addition, we have classes and host events. We also sell a curated of craft beer to-go. We are a very small company and pride ourselves on excellent customer service and relationship building with our customers and the local brewing community.

About the position

The Weekend Shift Manager is responsible for the weekend operations of the Shop. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide outstanding service to all customers.
  • Fulfill both in-person and online orders as they come in.
  • Create and maintain relationships with customers, distributors, vendors, etc.
  • Assist with preparation and breakdown of classes and special events.
  • Host and/or attend events, which might sometimes occur outside of regular shop hours.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures.
  • Clean and organize the shop as needed.

Required qualifications/experience

  • Experience in a retail environment or similar customer service-focused position
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking in front of crowds
  • Well organized and punctual
  • Comfortable working with little supervision
  • Basic understanding of fermentation
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Preferred qualifications/experience

  • Experience with making beer and/or wine (or other relevant fermentation)
