Outside Sales/Estimator

The Outside Sales/Estimator is responsible for preparing estimates for Customer’s projects. This person will visually inspect the jobsite for proper lifting solutions for specific jobs, which may include preliminary pricing through full estimates. The Outside Sales/Estimator must develop, maintain, and grow strong relationships with key Customers and subcontractors to ensure accurate, competitive, and complete pricing for all estimates.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Customer Project Managers while communicating with the Inside Sales/Account Managers Team to ensure the most current/accurate information is being used to formulate the best and most safe plan for taking care of the Customers lifting and hoisting needs.
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Solicit, evaluate, and follow-up on quotes.
- Work with a Sales Team to develop & analyze project schedules.
- Travel to and from jobsite locations to make visual inspections of the job requirements to accurately choose the right equipment for the job and produce the most accurate estimates.
- Develop and maintain Customer relationships.
- Report to the VP of Sales.
Qualifications:
-Preferred minimum five (5) years of safe and reputable crane operating experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of field experience working directly with customers, having jobsite analyzing and estimating preferred.-Strong computer skills with experience with jobsite software for accurate and detailed notes.
