STAFF ACCOUNTANT, Kalispell, MT  

$70K- $80K DOE + BONUS + BENEFITS UNLIMITED GROWTH POTENTIAL 

Join this family friendly team located at the Gateway to Glacier National Park 

 

The Staff Accountant who is tenured will be responsible for assisting as well as solely performing all corporate accounting functions including month/year-end close; tax filings; audit preparations; GL Accounting and special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain General Ledger, record and document corporate financial transactions
  • Prepare and record all Journal Entries with knowledge of debits and credits
  • Perform corporate bank account reconciliations and record corporate banking transactions
  • Preparation of corporate balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations
  • Provide support for compliance activities and perform internal audits as needed
  • Preparation of monthly P&L variance analysis reports and submit to management
  • Identify and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Utilize accounting software to maintain up-to-date record keeping of financial documents
  • Perform additional tasks and/or projects as assigned by Executive Management

 

Requirements

  • BS degree in Accounting or relevant, equivalent experience
  • 3-5 yrs Accounting experience in manufacturing industry
  • Ability to perform monthly P&L variance and balance sheet account analysis
  • Very strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP standards and ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Ability to work proficiently and accurately in very fast paced setting
  • Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented with stellar communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills
  • Strong MS Office skills and Advance MS Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Proficiency with ERP accounting software, NetSuite a plus
