Our client is looking for an experienced electronics technician to test, troubleshoot, reset, and clean used laptops at their facility in Carrollton, TX. Pays $15-18/hour

This is a CONTRACT position with the opportunity to be brought on full-time.

8-hour shift, M-F starting at 7:30am

Responsibilities:

  • Testing Laptops/Desktops:
  • Perform laptop and desktop testing using wipe OS interface.

 

Conduct onboard tests including:

  • Wipes OS Diagnostics boot by PXE or alternative method into the system.
  • Run diagnostic tests related to display, keyboard function, network, processor, memory, and battery.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Document test results accurately and efficiently.

 

Training Participation:

  • Attend onsite training sessions to learn testing procedures and protocols.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in executing testing procedures post-training.

 

Maintenance Tasks:

  • Support in wiping down and removing sticker residue from the top covers and bases of laptops.
  • Ensure cleanliness and presentability of devices post-testing.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience or familiarity with computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Willingness to participate in onsite training sessions.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and moving equipment.
  • Communication skills.
