Box Truck Driver/Helper

Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Box Truck Driver/Helper with great customer service skills to join our team We will be doing local delivery routes in and around Dallas and North Texas area. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. Appliance or furniture assembly is a plus. Also must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record to drive the truck otherwise you can only be a helper. The position is full time and a typical day starts at 6am until route is completed. You will be delivering appliances or furniture and assisting with installation of those items. You will be paid per delivery so the more deliveries you make on time the more you are paid.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a 26ft Box Truck if 21 with valid license and clean driving record.
  • Work as a team to Load and unload appliances and or furniture.
  • Communicate effectively with customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service skills during delivery drop offs and pick ups.
  • Be on time to deliveries (if driving)
  • Report any issues or incidents to owner as well as company immediately
  • Inspect truck before and after trip
  • Insure merchandise is not damaged and is safely secured on the truck.
  • Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws (if driver)
  • Be physically fit and able to move heavy objects 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in delivering or customer service is a plus
  • Valid class C driver's license
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong work ethic
  • Must pass background and drug test
  • Clean driving record
  • Experience with installation of appliances or furniture (preferred)
  • Must be 21 to drive box truck 

This Job is:

- Open to applicants that don’t have a High school diploma/ GED or college diploma.

- This is a good fit for applicants with gaps in their employment history and returning to the workforce.
