**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe with specialized experience in wound care to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical documentation and terminology, specifically related to wound care. This role involves accurately documenting patient encounters, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring the efficiency of the wound care clinic.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Accurately and efficiently document patient visits, medical histories, and treatment plans during clinical encounters in real-time.
- Assist wound care specialists by transcribing detailed information including wound assessments, treatment procedures, patient progress, and follow-up plans.
- Manage and update patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure all necessary documentation is completed and filed in a timely manner.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers by summarizing and clarifying clinical notes and instructions.
- Assist in scheduling follow-up appointments and coordinating referrals to other specialists as needed.
- Support the clinic with administrative tasks such as answering phones, greeting patients, and managing medical supply inventory.
- Stay updated with the latest wound care protocols and guidelines to ensure accurate and relevant documentation.
- Provide assistance during clinical procedures as needed, maintaining a sterile environment and following all safety protocols.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Certified Medical Scribe Specialist (CMSS) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a medical scribe, with a focus on wound care.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, particularly related to wound care and treatment.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, preferably [specific EHR system].
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
