Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our team amidst rapid growth in a diverse business. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting and financial management principles, excellent organization and time management skills and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze historical and current financial and other data to identify trends and recommend opportunities for increasing profits and generating cost savings.
- Build predictive financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Assist in the creation of the annual budget, periodic forecasts, and long-range financial plans, including developing tools to collect and input data.
- Support the monthly close and financial reporting process, including performing variance analysis against budget and other metrics and preparing management reporting.
- Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in the evaluation of proposed initiatives and potential investments.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as required and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of corporate accounting principles
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Bloomberg)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of strategic planning and business intelligence concepts
- Strong quantitative analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proficiency in SQL or other data querying languages is preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Oracle NetSuite Preferred.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively (written and verbal) at all levels in the organization, convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the willingness and ability to learn new concepts.
- Ability to thrive and excel in a continually evolving environment, working independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
