JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Recruiter is to assist with the full cycle recruitment and onboarding process. This position will also assist with Human Resource functions and programs.
This position reports to the Human Resources Director. The position is classified as exempt.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively participates in the development of recruiting goals and strategies.
- Develops and implements effective recruiting strategies to fill open positions in a strategic way that ensures qualified individuals are hired and able to be retained.
- Performs searches for qualified candidates utilizing a variety of sources including social media, online job boards, networking, and employee referrals.
- Screens, interviews, and tracks potential candidates.
- Administers pre-employment testing.
- Conducts reference checks, background checks, and other necessary employee and education verifications.
- Prepares and presents offers of employment.
- Coordinates staff transfers and promotions.
- Maintains relationships with new hires to ensure job satisfaction and retention.
- Participates in recruitment events.
- Maintains applicant tracking system to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and effective outcomes.
- Maintains and files employee records.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Assists with various HR tasks and projects as needed.
COMPETENCIES:
- Considerable skill in interviewing techniques.
- Broad knowledge of personnel policies and procedures and federal and state laws regarding employee practices.
- Demonstrable interest and ability to learn current best practices within the field of recruitment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform in a highly professional manner as a member of the human resources team.
- Experience working with an applicant tracking system.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft office applications.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and applicants.
- Must be adaptable, have self-motivation, and strong follow through skills.
- A commitment to establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with co-workers, employees, and applicants.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant HR experience.
