Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Summary
The Expeditor works under the close supervision of the Production Supervisor moving parts from one department to another in accordance with the "Traveler" instruction. Job orders are tracked and organized with the assigned parts.

 

Responsibilities

  • Directly move parts to each department for completion ensuring the processing of the proper paperwork
  • Daily rounds begin with delivering parts to Sheet Metal, CNC, Welding, Detailing, and Assembly
  • Daily collect all job orders on the production floor and verify information for accuracy
  • Continually check each department throughout the day for completion
  • Upon completion in detailing, parts are moved to next areas including oven, sheeter, press, and Customer Service.
  • Coordinate the travelers and report errors to the Production Supervisor
  • A Quality Discrepancy Report (QDR) is completed for parts that are to be returned to various departments
  • Locate missing parts as needed
