Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for an experienced, Wastewater Technician, for a direct hire position in Knoxville, TN 37914. This manufacturer specializes in the design and production of world class water purification solutions around the globe.

 

Our client is targeting a base rate of $25 - $35 per hour depending on education and experience. This role requires 70-80% travel, and with frequent overtime averages over $110,000/year with a full benefits package. Partial relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

 

U.S. Citizenship is required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and develops knowledge on Nijhuis treatment equipment and service offerings to the industrial wastewater treatment market.
  • Performs preventative and scheduled maintenance, trouble shooting, and repairs
  • Assists with replacement and spare part sales support.
  • Provide technical support for prospective sales, including pilot test units and water sample testing.
  • Assists the engineering and project management teams.
  • Provides supervision during equipment installation.
  • Performs system startup, equipment commissioning, and performance testing.
  • Instructs operators in the use and operation of installations.
  • Performs set-up and commissioning of physical, chemical, and biological mobile water treatment systems within the North America region.
  • Manages procurement of local services and equipment when required to undertake specific site tasks.
  • Provides troubleshooting support to existing clients.
  • Supports the local marketing team with current relevant material for use in corporate social media and in other marketing activities to help promote sales activities.
  • Follow NSI protocols and procedures regarding Health and Safety in the workplace.

 

Education / Experience:

  • Education in biological or environmental sciences, mechanical or chemical engineering, or similar field (bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required).
  • 3+ years of technical training and/or experience in the industrial water purification industry.
  • Experience maintaining, servicing and/or operating screen, Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF), and biological treatment systems.
  • Familiar with both aerobic and anaerobic biological treatment.
  • Previous experience in sludge dewatering and chemical dosing.
