Job DescriptionJob DescriptionResponsibilities:
- Responsible for timely response to Service calls, T&M and Contract Commercial jobs.
- Work directly with field foreman and superintendents to create daily work schedule for all western divisions employees.
- Responsible for the application of safe work practices on the job in compliance with the Company’s safety rules and develop a safety awareness.
- Responsible for the development of employees by leading, training, motivating, coaching and counseling employees to satisfy the expectations of their positions.
- Responsible for cost control through the effective and efficient application of personnel, equipment & materials to provide customer/client satisfaction and to ensure job quality and reliability.
- Responsible for training and enforcement of the Company’s Safety Rules and Policies, local work procedures, environmental procedures, and follows the energy control process at all times.
- Responsible for the coordination & scheduling of equipment outages and switching to ensure safety working environments thru constant communication with VP of company.
- Assures the timely completion of all administrative processes such as annual reviews,
enforcement of the Labor Agreement, Time & Labor, tailboard documentation, progress reporting, and time cards. - Reviews and communicates with estimator and VP to complete pre-job planning, monitor progress, resolve in progress problems and identify revisions to scope and obtains necessary approvals.
- Travel is required for this position.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience in electrical or mechanical commercial operations and maintenance.
- Demonstrated expertise/knowledge of energized and deenergized facilities; switching and tagging procedures; knowledge of training, clearances and working space requirements.
- A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience as a journeyman in the electrical trade.
- Basic electric theory, identify and analyze trouble in electrical circuits, print reading and moderate computer skills used in the linemen trade and office applications software.
- Thorough knowledge of safety rules/regulations, energy control process, company policies, work practices and the labor agreement.
- 3-5 years Supervisory/management experience with leadership and teamwork skills, communication skills both oral and written.
