Job purpose

The Account Representative position under the direction of the manager and supervisor, is the point of contact for Contributing Employers and is responsible for account management & maintenance, collection of benefit contributions, and works closely with the Auditors and the Collection and Delinquency team.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Providing customer service to all current Signatory Employers, to include but not limited to:
    • Account Maintenance
      • New employer package / Follow up
      • Reconciliation includes debits/credits, employer report and batch reconciliation as required
      • Adjustments to hours or levels of apprentice’s
      • Manage the employers

· Interact with employers providing feedback and solutions

· Record the details of every action taken as well as the complaints, comments and inquiries from all internal and external interactions and update with detailed notes in the system.

· Maintain all aspects of collections with regard to delinquent contributions

· Excellent communication with counsel

· Monthly trustee report

· Compliance with security and confidentiality policy as well as HIPAA and ERISA regulations

Qualifications

  • 5 Years minimum office experience

· Strong mathematical aptitude & knowledge in accounting or finance preferred

· Experience in processing accounts receivables

· Data entry / 10-key proficiency is essential

· Strong analytical & problem solving skills

· Detail oriented & ability to prioritize workloads

· Proficient with Microsoft Office and its applications

· Exceptional telephone skills, strong verbal & written communication skills

· Impeccable organization & follow-up abilities a must

· Effective interaction with staff, employers & members to provide answers to inquiries about the Plan & ability to resolve issues

· Bilingual/Spanish preferred but not required

Compensation
