First Response Health & Safety is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic to join our team at our Construction work-site clinic as an Worksite Health Technician. This unique opportunity will encourage EMTs and Paramedics to expand into the non-traditional setting, and flourish within the quickly growing occupational arena. Qualified candidates will, operate as an Occupational Health Technician, and be responsible for administering first-aid care, performing drug & alcohol screenings and additional duties needed to improve the overall health and wellness of the workers on site. You'll work closely with the construction site safety manager and construction site management to ensure a healthy and safe work environment at the site

Qualifications

  • EMT, Paramedic or MA certification

  • Have current CPR/BLS

  • Possess excellent verbal / written communication skills

  • Have a positive and outgoing personality

  • Be willing to go above and beyond just because that's who you are

  • Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible

  • Be able to have fun

  • You are comfortable working in a construction environment

  • You are good with computers and some familiarity with EMR software

Responsibilities

  • Full or Part time available, the hours available for scheduling are Monday - Saturday, 10 to 12 hr shifts, Days/Nights/Weekends. Weekend Availability is a MUST

  • The position's responsibilities include collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at First Response, local medical providers, client staff, with key contacts within the client's corporate structure

  • The day-to-day role of the Worksite Health Technician includes patient care, ongoing workers' compensation case management, treatment plan monitoring, drug & alcohol screening

  • Participate in daily operations at the First Response on-site clinic

  • Provide superior customer service to the First Response client and sub-contractors working at the site

  • Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to the First Response Occupational First Aid Protocols

  • Build and maintain internal team relationships

  • Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts

  • Pre-employment and post-offer screenings

  • Documentation of care using patient care reporting software (PCR) and other tools

  • Medical charting
