Job Title: Staff Pharmacist - Ongoing PRN Coverage

Description:
We are seeking a Pharmacist for PRN coverage starting on April 12 and 13, with ongoing needs, for three locations in Rowland, NC. Our client operates community/retail pharmacies in small rural areas of North Carolina, with all locations approximately 15 minutes from each other.

Term of Assignment:

  • PRN coverage on April 12-13 and ongoing needs
  • Operating hours: Monday-Friday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Saturday: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm, Sunday: Closed

Duties:

  • Perform all basic functions of a retail pharmacist
  • Verify prescriptions
  • Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians
  • Provide patient counseling
  • Administer vaccinations as needed
  • Daily prescription volume varies between 150-350 per location
  • Utilize Computer RX or Transaction Data Systems program systems

Requirements:

  • Current, active NC State Pharmacist license with no negative history
  • Flexibility with schedule and shift changes to meet client and pharmacy needs
  • Experience with Computer RX or Transaction Data Systems preferred but not required
  • BLS certification
  • Certified Immunize

This position is ideal for pharmacists who are flexible with their schedule and availability. Perfect for semi-retired individuals or stay-at-home parents not ready to return to full-time work.
