Position open: Church Administrator at First Congregational Church in Amherst

What:An interesting, engaging, challenging, and fun part-time job with flexible hours and benefits (vacation, health insurance, holidays), working with a dynamite staff, active members and a variety of renters of a congregation that is actively engaged in making the world a better place. A great job for someone equally at home with supervision, volunteers, computers, words, numbers, and the ineffable.

Who You Are: Someone who is great with people, can juggle varying responsibilities and multiple deadlines, maintain confidentiality, work closely with the pastor, and answer to any number of people in person, by email, and phone. Must be both a self-starter and good at taking direction; comfortable with software and office equipment; have an eye and ear for editing; take pride in producing typo-free materials; and be relatively unflappable. Understanding of, and ease with, social media and graphics required. Understanding of, and ease with, church life and language not required, but a definite plus. LGBTQIA and POC especially encouraged to apply.

When: 20 hours/week. There is some flexibility in the daily schedule.

How much: $20 to $24 per hour depending on experience.
