We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 2/3 Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This is a hybrid position, predominantly traveling between clients in North and or Central Milwaukee with some time spent working from home. The ideal candidate will provide advanced technical support to our clients, resolving complex issues efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide escalated technical support for complex issues, serving as a subject matter expert for Level 1 support staff.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering positive relationships.
  • Perform on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networking systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for clients, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Document support processes, procedures, and resolutions for future reference and training purposes.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues before they escalate, implementing preventive measures and optimizations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and service-level agreements (SLAs) while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Support Specialist or similar role in the IT industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), networking protocols, and server infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.
  • Experience with advanced technologies such as virtualization, cloud computing, and cybersecurity is highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) are a plus.
  • Experience working with ConnectWise Manage (PSA), ConnectWise Automate and other Managed Service Provider (MSP) tools and applications are a plus.

 

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Relevant industry certifications and training.
