Location: Wilson County, TX and surrounding areas
Wiatrek’s Services is currently seeking a skilled Underground Utility Crew Foreman to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee a utility crew in the Wilson County area, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and supervise a crew of utility workers, including equipment operators, pipe layers and laborers, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Interpret construction plans and blueprints to effectively coordinate crew activities and ensure adherence to project specifications.
3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment for all crew members and the public.
4. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
5. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure all tools and machinery are in proper working condition.
6. Promote a positive work environment and foster teamwork among crew members to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
1. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in water and installation, with previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
3. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints accurately.
4. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Knowledge of underground utility construction methods, materials, and equipment.
6. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, such as excavators, backhoes, and trenchers.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
