We are looking for a sales-oriented, high-energy field representative who is experienced and excited about leveling the playing field for everyone in the workforce. The right candidate will be an approachable, hands-on organizer who can communicate clearly in a friendly and direct manner about health benefits in face-to-face interactions.
Position: On-Site Membership Recruitment Representative
We are looking for a motivated, sales-focused individual to help find and enroll Lyft, Uber and for-hire vehicle drivers in our NY Drivers Benefits program. Drivers Benefits is a state-wide program that provides no-cost benefits to qualified drivers such as dental, telemedicine, vision services and more paid for by The Black Car Fund. Our job is to find and educate drivers about the resources available to them and help them enroll and use the benefits.
As a member of the Field Team, you will be primarily on-site with our mobile Vision Van, or attending events and meeting with partners as an advocate on behalf of Drivers Benefits. This will normally entail working with our mobile Vision Van at the airport lot, but this is subject to change based on Company needs.
This individual will be motivated, extroverted, and able to talk to anyone
Enroll as many qualified drivers into the Drivers Benefits program while working - 4-8 a day and engage them with the benefits.
Work on-site at New York City gathering points for drivers with Black Car services (such as Uber/Lyft/Vital and the airport cell phone lots)
Face-to-face interactions to inform drivers of and help them enroll in available benefits such as free dental, telemedicine, eyeglasses, flu shots and more.
Work closely with our mobile Vision Van to help drivers schedule appointments to get their eyes checked on-site and get a free pair of glasses
Preferred Skills
Self Motivation; High-capacity organizational skills; Sales-oriented
Bilingual Capabilities, Fluent in Chinese, Spanish, Bengali, or Russian
Basic proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
Ability to communicate coherently with clients of different socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds
Valid driver’s license [Optional - nice but not imperative]
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Ethical Conduct
Compensation: $20/hour + Commission based on number of enrollments into the program
