Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient and safe operation of bottling, facility, and production equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, installing, maintaining, operating, testing, and servicing automated, servo-mechanical, electromechanical, or electro-pneumatic equipment. The ideal candidate will work independently or as part of a team, contributing to the continuous improvement of productivity, quality, safety, and cost-saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance activities and schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Provide emergent repair and troubleshooting services for a wide range of winery and facility-related equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, repair, or adjust parts, pumps, vessels, equipment, or machinery using hand tools or specialized equipment.
- Replace or repair defective parts and calibrate hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, and conveyance assemblies.
- Observe, measure, or test the operation of machinery or equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Test electrical systems or the continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, megohmeters, voltmeters, and ammeters.
- Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Provide training and oversight to equipment operators to ensure proper usage and maintenance practices.
- Responsible for ordering, purchasing, and maintaining an inventory of necessary parts and tools.
- Understand and comply with applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulations, including OSHA, ISO, and FSSC standards.
- Work in accordance with general safety protocols and certification requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform repairs on a wide range of equipment.
- Knowledge of automated, servo-mechanical, electromechanical, or electro-pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing devices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices, including OSHA standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as required.
Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or a related field preferred.
- Certification in OSHA safety standards is a plus.
