Successful, niche food manufacturer in Chicago seeks a motivated Professional Warehouse Associate to help organize our fast-paced and growing shipping & receiving transactions. The company operates as a high-volume contract manufacturer in the Nutrition/Snack Bar market, working with established and emerging retail brands.

Role

The Warehouse Associate will lead and participate in work to ensure prompt and accurate material moves in the Warehouse, incoming & outgoing shipments. This highly visible role will be a critical contributor to company’s success as we navigate significant business growth. The WC will become proficient in several software and web-based platforms.

Responsibilities

- Incoming/Receiving

o Verify material condition and quantity match documentation
o Populate appropriate fields in company’s MRP software
o Scan/store documents promptly
o Communicate with 3rd party logistics providers to resolve discrepancies, delays

    • Verify material condition and quantity match documentation

  • Material Movements
    • Ensure proper materials are selected & staged for use in production areas
    • Verify internal and external lot codes
    • Use company’s coding system to ensure proper adherence to FIFO
  • Post-Production
    • Count & return materials to warehouse promptly
    • Work with outbound shipments (Packing List, BOL, Commercial Invoice, special labeling, etc.)
    • Lead regular inventory cycle counts

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

The individual MUST be detail-oriented and reliable
Task-oriented, able to keep up with high transaction volume

Excellent communicator, both written & verbal. English-speaking (bilingual a plus).
Familiarity with computer and web applications
Forklift experience a plus, but not required
Previous experience in a warehouse/ inventory management role
