What You Will Be Doing

Are you a skilled Project Scheduler looking to join a dynamic team in the industrial mechanical construction industry? Our client, a leading contractor in Houston, Texas, is seeking a detail-oriented individual to coordinate and lead scheduling efforts for their projects.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Coordinate with superintendents to plan and sequence work effectively
  • Lead daily and weekly planning sessions with field teams for schedule updates
  • Communicate the plan and planning process effectively to clients
  • Defend the plan to clients
  • Work with Site Management team to develop and build the schedule, update logic, resources, change orders, and progress
  • Resource load a schedule in collaboration with Project Management, Estimating, the Site Management Team, and Controls
  • Evaluate variance reports and document/report on delays and impacts
  • Collaborate with Project Management and Site Manager on resource leveling and optimization weekly
  • Coordinate with scheduling teams from clients and vendors to ensure proper integration
  • Perform quality checks on the schedule to ensure plan sufficiency
  • Perform 3WLA (Weekly Work Look-Ahead) comparison to schedule and update
  • Export 3WLA activities from the schedule
  • Evaluate free and total float for the contract schedule
  • Coordinate with internal software for scheduling purposes

Other Essential Functions

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project scheduling within the construction industry
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling principles and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
