Job Description

Duties & Requirements:

  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports.
  • Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in closing month end financial statements through reconciliation of Subsidiary Ledgers to the General Ledger
  • Tax Compliance: Assist with tax filings and compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Audit Support: Support external audit by providing financial data and documentation as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Office Management: Monitor and purchase office supplies, interact with service vendors – HVAC, Security, Building Maintenance, Office Equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Educational Background: bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
  • 5-10 years’ experience.
  • Previous Experience: Prior experience in accounting or finance roles are beneficial.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MS Dynamics, other ERP systems), MS Excel, Access and other financial tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and analysis.
  • Accrual Accounting: Ability to understand and apply accrual accounting principles to properly match revenue and expense including the flow of costs through inventory.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Integrity: Upholding high ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
