Job DescriptionJob Description

Assists with coordinating and verifying accurate data and reporting to provide pertinent information for cost analysis and improve the functions of the operations through planning and execution of company programs.

This role will ensure the production targets and quality standards are met by keeping track of KPI’s, Inventory and SOP management. Will also assess and report on the quality of all vegetables harvested, received, in inventory and shipped from the facility. Ensure that all products shipped meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

· Utilizes Hortimax for labor tracking and production. Ensures employees are clocking in and out of the system as well as per row and/or per task.

· Extract reports from Hortimax to determine labor distribution and requirements of tasks.

• Analyzes departmental operations and identifies areas requiring improvement.

· Assists in the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly reports and paperwork.

· Liaise with the pack department and Distribution Center concerning any quality issues relating to product allocated for orders or packing.

· Report quality concerns and escalate issues as needed.

· Supports Line Leaders to ensure workers are following harvest and pack procedures in accordance with customer & management specifications.

• Monitors the quantity and quality of output product to ensure that it meets company targets

and customer standards.

• Monitors packaging materials to ensure packaging and labeling is accurate and complete.

• Maintains and reviews all packing records for accuracy and completeness.

• Regularly review, update, and circulate the Red Sun Customer Specifications.

• Communicate and coordinate quality standards and activities with greenhouse and packhouse.

· Conduct regular assessments of packhouse inventory and quality of packing.

· Monitor level of inventory and materials for maintenance, greenhouse, and packhouse, ensuring supplies are received in a timely manner to operate efficiently.

· Maintains records of goods ordered and received and maintains knowledge of order issues.

· Performs root cause analysis when required and prepares corrective entries.

· Monitors inventory and performs inventory management and provides appropriate training to other managers/departments.

· Analyzes accounting systems, identifies any inaccuracies, and recommends improvement measures.

· Perform daily inventory count, report and adjust as necessary.

· As requested, matches received goods to purchase orders, verifies accuracies of what is received and data entries match records.

· Receives and documents weekly inventory of all materials in the building (packhouse, greenhouse, pesticides, maintenance and other locations).

· Researches discrepancies in inventory report (i.e. use of product vs. remaining inventory) and reports to findings to DOO.

· Monitors maintenance work order system to track inventory and supplies needed to support maintenance.

· Monitors Preventative Maintenance schedule to ensure supplies are on hand to complete PM.

• Completes daily reporting and documentation on time and with a keen attention to detail.

· Provides support to leadership and training to employees to ensure they carry out their work effectively and safely and in accordance with customer & management specifications.

· Attends Team Meetings, Tool Box Talks, Department Meetings and other meetings as required.

· Understands and follows all company, Food Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, and other related policies and procedures.

· Acts as back up for Food Safety Coordinator and supports testing, monitoring, reporting and internal and external audits.

· Other duties as assigned.
