Here’s what you’ll bring:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Proficiency in PlanSwift estimating software

  • At least 5 years of experience in residential construction purchasing

  • Knowledge of the FAST system is preferred, but training will be provided if necessary

  • Ability to perform comprehensive takeoffs from blueprints

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs

  • Ability to work unsupervised with little to no direction

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Costing and bidding for new home plans and creating building plans in our FAST software system

  • Support the Cost Department Manager as needed

  • Assist in managing subcontractors and suppliers

  • Help on-site Sales Associates and Design Center staff with pricing options

  • Maintain estimates and job costs in the FAST System

  • Preparing monthly gross profit reports for review with the Purchasing Manager

  • Review cost and price issues with the Cost Department Manager

  • Complete Pre-Start reports and cost forecasting for the Purchasing Manager

  • Work with the Division President and Purchasing Manager to reduce costs and maintain competitiveness

  • Build standard plans in FAST and manage options for master plans

  • Review house budgets in the FAST system and report job costs accurately

  • Process estimating information to generate complete Purchase Order packages in FAST

  • Assist in estimating production to meet report dates

  • Pricing custom options with the Design Center staff within a 24-hour turnaround
