Job DescriptionJob Description

This position is required to be able to travel for around 75% of the job. During the summertime and planting season travel can include up to 5 days a week (Mon - Fri). Travel will consist mostly of Maryland and upstate New York, but could spread to multiple states depending on available work. This position is field intensive with most work occurring outdoors in various conditions. 

Duties May Include

  • Running heavy equipment such as; Small Tractors, 3500 series trucks, Industrial Zero Turn Mowers, Straight Trucks (box trucks non CDL), and large trailers
  • Helping crew leads on tree planting jobs
  • Working in our warehouse location shipping orders and packing orders
  • Receiving shipments into the warehouse
  • Moderate mechanical skills preferred but not required
  • Working on herbicide spray crews on tree planting projects
  • Invasive species control (herbicide and mechanical removal)

Qualifications:

  • Posses a valid and clean state drivers license
  • Pass a standard VDOT physical for commercial drivers
  • Posses a Virginia Registered Technician Pesticide Applicator Certification or be able to acquire certification within 90 days
