Position: IT Service Technician

Location: Throughout Hillsborough, Pinellas

Type: Contract to Hire

Job Description:

As an IT Technician at Bay Business Edge, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's IT systems and providing top-notch technical support to our clients. We are seeking a dynamic individual who has a clean driving record, a strong sense of urgency, and the determination to complete assignments. If you are an organized, proactive problem-solver who can effectively prioritize and multitask, we encourage you to apply.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Respond with Urgency:

Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related queries, responding to user needs promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Hardware and Software:

Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, ensuring optimal usability and performance. Ability to wire up solutions, create cables, and punch down wire connections.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues swiftly and effectively.

Safety and Security:

Take measures to enhance the security of PC systems, including installing and upgrading anti-virus software.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay at the forefront of technology by evaluating and testing new software and hardware, making recommendations for enhancements.

Customer-Centric Approach:

Establish and nurture positive relationships with colleagues from various departments, actively listening to their technical needs and providing innovative solutions.

System Maintenance:

Perform regular system upgrades to enable compatibility with the latest software, as well as conduct daily backup operations.

Documentation Management:

Maintain and update technical documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience in computers and systems maintenance.

Certifications such as A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are advantageous.

Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively

Strong interpersonal skills to provide exemplary customer service and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to analyze and solve complex problems.

Clean driving record
