Requirements: Ability to work 12 - 40 hours a week in a fast-paced salon environment. Will handle dogs and cats of all sizes. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Routine standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting of 50 - 100 pounds are required. Patience and physical fitness are important for this position. Must not be allergic to products we use for grooming. 

 

Job Summary and Qualifications: 

  • Bathe and brush pets

  • Trim nails and feet

  • Saniclips and prep for Groomer

  • Monitor health and well-being of pets throughout the bathing and grooming process

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions from owner, management and grooming staff

  • Clean and sanitize grooming room and adjacent areas impacted by grooming room

  • Familiarity with computers

 

Compensation: 10-13/hr with no experience required. Eligible for health benefits (full-time), bonuses, employee discounts, paid training 

 

Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Bring boarding pets and their belongings to grooming room

  • Brush and bathe pets

  • Dry and finish pets

  • Monitor pets 

  • Trim/grind nails

  • Enter prices and notes in client’s file

  • Assist Groomers

  • Assist front office and ken-techs

  • Notify owners when pet is finished in grooming

  • Mix shampoos and other grooming products

  • Laundry

  • Clean and maintain grooming room and grooming equipment

  • Clean Hallways/Floors

  • Exercise all dogs in grooming room Monday - Saturday between 2pm and 3pm and Sunday before 1pm

  • Return dogs and cats to boarding areas as necessary

  • Clean Hydrosurges

  • Any other duties or responsibilities deemed necessary
