Senior Auditor

 

Our client, a full-service accounting firm located in Bohemia, is seeking experienced Senior Auditors to join their onsite team (you must reside in NY/within commuting distance of Bohemia). Successful candidates will have experience in various audit related procedures, such as:

 

• Serving as the in-charge Auditor for any type of engagement, with an emphasis on non-profit, for-profit, schools, construction, and/or employee benefit plan entities
• Developing testing strategies during the planning phase of in-charge engagements and completing planning documentation according to firm standards, GAAS, and best practices
• Completing all internal control documentation, end-of-audit meetings, preparing financial statements, and presenting findings to clients, management and Board members

 

Qualified candidates must have the following:

• Masters in Accounting OR Eligible to sit for the CPA exam (CPA licensure is preferred)
• 3+ years of audit experience in PUBLIC accounting (non-profit, education, government, employee benefit plan and/or construction experience strongly preferred)
• Applied working knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS
• Familiarity with ProSystem FX Engagement is preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research abilities

 

Salary range for this opportunity is $85k - $95k (based on experience) and includes a full suite of medical/dental/vision/ancillary benefits, 401k w/match, and very generous PTO.
