Job DescriptionJob Description

Provide customer service to customers by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Provide an active display of great customer service, by demonstrating courteous and polite traits in every aspect of your duties when dealing with, and addressing Tenants, Guests, and Association Personnel.

Must have a Current Armed DCJS license

Must be a Self-Motivator with Good work Ethics

Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to work any schedule (to include Weekends and Holidays)

Ability to effectively communicate with others

Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.

Ability to respond to emergency situations as per operating procedures.

Ability to hear & see in low light situations.

Capable of working outside in extreme weather conditions.

Capable of comprehending site-specific policies and standard operating procedures and the ability to implement such as needed.

Functional Responsibilities: You will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment and thereby protecting and securing the personnel, guests, visitors, and property of the client. Respond to calls of service from tenants and owners. Conduct routine patrols of the property to ensure a visible security presence. Must have good interpersonal skills and present a neat and professional appearance. Must be dependable, reliable, and possess sound judgment.

Duties also include: Communicating with and providing assistance to the public plus assistance with reports and duty logs; maintaining security at the client s facility by properly working his or her assigned post; conducting roving patrols; reporting security incidents or hazardous conditions; screening employees, guests, and visitors to the client s facilities; monitoring security alarms or fire systems; issuing and controlling visitor passes; and maintaining and monitoring the visitor sign-in and sign-out log.

Physical Criteria include:

The ability to lift 25 pounds regularly

The ability to respond quickly to sounds

The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces

The ability to ascend or descend stairs quickly while carrying 25 pounds

The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations

The ability to work in extreme weather conditions

The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
