Essential duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Supervises daily warehousing, shipping, and receiving activities of warehouse staff. Allocates work, monitors productivity, and procures resources to facilitate staff performance, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, merchandise damage minimization and safety

  • Determines appropriate procedures for the movement of merchandise, including but not limited to carrier selection, proper packaging, and creation of shipping paperwork. Implements procedures and monitors adherence to, efficiency and cost effectiveness of the processes. Recommends changes, revisions, additions or deletions as necessary

  • Provide shipping quotes to other departments, negotiate carrier rates, and route shipments in accordance with internal and customer specific guidelines.

  • Manage inventory replenishment process for finished goods, consumables, accessories, and spare parts. Maintain and update the rolling forecast reports and communicate order statuses as well as resolve discrepancies with internal and external suppliers.

  • Communicates daily with Operations Manager and department managers on issues, ideas, processes, priorities, etc. to maintain a department at a high level of efficiency.

  • Act as backup for warehousing staff and assist with picking, packing, loading, und unloading when necessary.

  • Responsible for conducting daily cycle counts and annual inventory count ensuring that all results are accurate.

  • Oversees training and evaluates development of associates. Carries out disciplinary actions or recommends hiring and termination of employment as appropriate in conjunction with Operations Manager.

  • Ensures that all safety requirements are maintained according to OSHA regulations. Coordinate warehouse equipment maintenance and repairs.

  • Creates and distributes the open order report on a daily basis.

  • Coordinates container deliveries from Germany and China as well as other deliveries from external vendors.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of situations
• 5+ years’ of related experience desired
• Familiarity with SAP is a plus

Skills:

• Work well independently and as part of a team
• Be very detail-oriented and strive for accurate results
• Show interest in continuous improvement of operation
• Ability to make decisions efficiently and effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage a small team
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment and lift up to 70 lbs
