ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicates production and performance standards and expectations, then leads and motivates the team to meet or exceed.
  • Act as the communication conduit between production employees and Management
  • Ensures all team members adhere to safety and Company policies.
  • Engages with shift employees to provide assistance and guidance where needed, consulting other departments (HR, Quality, etc.) when needed to solve issues.
  • Train existing employees on new products or processes.
  • Tracks and reports production Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to drive safety and production efficiency.
  • Communicates with plant leadership and peers alike both professionaly and timely to quickly address and solve production and/or performance challenges.
  • Ensures that the correct materials and supplies are set up on the line.
  • Ensure machines are in proper working order for production startup and shut down, call maintenance if equipment requires repair.
  • Strong desire to achieve while working within and supporting a team environment, doing whatever it takes to help fulfill our customer commitments.
  • Ensures that the product is made according to procedure and specifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or combination of related experience and/or training. Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with bonus points for food manufacturing.

LANGUAGE and COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Proven effective inter-personal skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
