Accounts Receivable Analyst

 

Our client is a world leader in commercial laundering specifically for airlines.  They are based in the New York Metropolitan area with subsidiaries in other locations around the country.  They are seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to manage the Accounts Receivable strategically for their multiple companies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Increase cash flow by following up on missed payments and updating financial records.
  • Meets accounts receivable operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems and effectively communicating with billing team to resolve issues.
  • Collects accounts by contacting customers; investigating circumstances of non-payment; negotiating and resolving conflicts and expediting payment.
  • Updates receivables by coordinating and monitoring daily sales order processing and bank remittance transactions.
  • Maintains financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls.
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting general ledger account transactions.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or business management
  • 3+ years’ experience working in an accounting, billing, or accounts receivable department.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Familiarity with accounting, ERP software, spreadsheets, and GAAP
  • Clear comprehension and experience with intercompany transactions.
  • Time and process management, including the ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous deadlines, set priorities, and work under pressure.
  • Clear understanding of how to deal with multiple approvers for a single customer.
  • Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality and privacy
  • Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to resolve misunderstandings and errors in a diplomatic manner.
  • Typing, computing, and data entry skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Strong financial skills and understanding of financial concepts and business principles.

 

 

 

 

Compensation:

$70K – $75K plus benefits
