Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- 5+ years as a maintenance mechanic, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in Electrical Troubleshooting, PLCs, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics.
- Proficient in reading schematics, using a voltmeter, and understanding PLCs and ladder logic.
- Experience managing CMMS systems and maintenance programs.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.
- Basic welding skills.
- Available to troubleshoot over the phone and handle emergencies during off hours, including some weekends.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred; robotics experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations in collaboration with Plant Manager.
- Set performance standards and conduct regular reviews.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget.
- Control maintenance costs and optimize resource allocation.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues promptly.
- Implement solutions to prevent recurring problems.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
- Manage spare parts and maintenance supplies inventory.
- Ensure availability of necessary parts to reduce downtime.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and downtime.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and contractors for external services.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and efficiency.
- Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance operations.
