Role Objectives
The Director of Project Management is responsible for the management and development of the project management team, along with maintaining oversight of successful operational delivery of global nursing services for decentralized clinical trials including, but not limited to: setup, implementation, and management, both internally and externally, of nursing projects, and for contributing to the development of Nursing Service capabilities in alignment with the overall WEP business strategy.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead and provide operational oversight for nursing project teams.
- Responsible for nursing project team’s training and development, including project-specific training, as well as performance reviews.
- Provide oversight of site approval process.
- Oversee interdisciplinary team by providing project leadership in managing and maintaining effective communication with internal staff, clients, vendors, and other external organizations to successfully meet the project milestones and deliverables.
- Oversee and manage nursing projects with accountability for the successful delivery of projects on budget.
- Ensure all project plans including timelines and budgets are developed in compliance with the SOW.
- Ensure project team members are managing nursing projects in accordance with WEP Clinical SOPs and Policies.
- Identify, evaluate, monitor, and mitigate any factors or processes that may threaten the quality of the nursing project (i.e., risk management), as well as communicate identified risks to internal project team, WEP Clinical management, and clients, as appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate project documentation including ensuring necessary signatures and approvals are obtained to complete the project. Support WEP Clinical Business Development, Contracts and Finance teams with contracts, change orders and monthly invoicing.
- Maintain current knowledge of Global regulations and requirements.
- Develop, document, and update internal WEP Clinical processes required for consistency across programs, such as SOPs, working practices, and related Quality Assurance forms.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree (in a nursing, pharmaceutical or life science field preferred).
- 5+ years direct clinical research or nursing experience in a CRO or research-related organization with at least 1 year management experience.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle confidential information with complete discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Knowledge of nursing clinical research process.
