- Lead and coordinate worship services, including selecting and arranging music, leading the congregation in singing, and directing the worship.
- Plan and organize rehearsals for the worship team, ensuring that all members are prepared and equipped to lead worship effectively.
- Collaborate with the pastor and other church leaders to plan and implement meaningful worship experiences that align with the overall vision and mission of the church.
- Serve as a spiritual leader, guiding and shepherding the congregation through worship, prayer, and teaching.
- Foster an atmosphere of worship that encourages congregational participation and engagement.
- Provide leadership in the development of new worship experiences or initiatives, incorporating diverse styles and expressions of worship.
- Mentor and develop other musicians and vocalists within the church, equipping them to use their gifts in service to God.
Requirements:
- Strong musical ability, including proficiency in playing an instrument (e.g., guitar, piano) and leading congregational singing. We will also accept someone who can sing to tracks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal, with the ability to effectively engage and connect with people of all ages.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team of musicians and vocalists in a collaborative manner.
- Knowledge of various styles of worship music, including contemporary Christian music, hymns, and gospel.
- Understanding of sound engineering principles and experience operating audio equipment during worship services.
- A deep personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to living a life of worship.
