Premier Commercial Remodeling Company in Spartanburg SC seeks an experienced 1st shift, Experienced Door Hardware Installer. This is a direct hire opportunity through R&R Resolute Staffing in Greenville SC (In-office testing in Greenville is required, the work location is in Spartanburg).

We are seeking applicants with glass, construction, or skilled labor roles on their resume. This is a physically demanding role in which being mechanically inclined and easily able to measure is a necessity. Please be prepared to offer references and any letters of recommendation you have.

Schedule: (1st shift) 7 am is the daily starting time and the crew works until the work is finished. It’s typically 50 to 60 hours a week on average. Mon-Fri, Saturday work may be required as needed.

Starting pay rate: $23-25/hour (with solid experience and a strong work history, starting pay could be higher)

Benefits: These are not currently offered but the company is well established and working towards providing benefits in the near future.

Basic requirements: In addition to the right kind of work history and skill set: The ability to pass a national criminal background check (past 7 years), a valid driver's license with a decently clean MVR for the past 5 years, a reliable vehicle, and clean drug test results.

Travel: All local, home every night.

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Commercial Door Hardware Installer

with a strong background in storefront door hardware installation. The ideal candidate will have a keen

eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring high standards of quality

and safety.

 

Key Responsibilities:

● Install, repair, and maintain commercial door hardware, including storefront door systems.

● Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.

● Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations.

● Assemble and install door frames, hinges, locks, closers, exit devices, and other door hardware

components.

● Ensure all installations comply with building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer

specifications.

● Conduct site assessments to determine installation requirements and provide accurate job

estimates.

● Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning door hardware and provide preventive maintenance

services.

● Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure timely and

accurate completion of projects.

● Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

● Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with all

installations and repairs.

 

Qualifications:

● High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field is preferred.

● Proven experience as a commercial door hardware installer, with specific expertise in storefront

door systems.

● Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for installation and repair tasks.

● Strong knowledge of door hardware products, including locks, closers, exit devices, and hinges.

● Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions, including heights and confined

spaces.

 

Preferred Skills:

● Additional certifications or training in door hardware installation and maintenance.

● Experience with electronic access control systems and automatic door operators.

● Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
