Job DescriptionJob Description

Seeking 2 licensed Staff Pharmacy Technicians for a Long Term Care Pharmacy staffing assignment that begins as soon as selections and screens are complete, and runs through October 19, 2024. Possibility for project end date extension or eligibility for other opportunities. Possible Temp to Hire after a break-in period. One technician will be doing Mailing/Packing does not require experience, and the other is a Mail Order Pharmacy Technician Role, requiring experience.

Schedule Details:
- Mon-Fri 11a-8p

Required Certifications and skills:

  • Applicant must be licensed Pharmacy Technician with the NY Board of Pharmacy
  • Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy
  • Pull and fill prescriptions in an LTC pharmacy Package bulk medications in unit dose packaging
  • Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels
  • Performs other tasks as assigned
  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology. Ability to operate a computer; ability to recognize and identify medications. Detail-oriented; goal oriented, team player, effective oral communication. Pharmacy Technician license.

- ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Light to moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.) -Heavier weights with assistance
  • Sitting & standing for long periods of time
  • Repetitive motions and prolonged computer use
  • Working at a fast pace, subject to many interruptions and both physical and mental stress
  • All jobs currently require clear and concise verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
