Job DescriptionJob Description

Duties:

  • Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and specifications
  • Review construction plans, blueprints, and schematics to understand project requirements
  • Monitor construction progress and quality to ensure adherence to approved plans and standards
  • Collect data and document findings during inspections, including measurements, photographs, and written reports
  • Collaborate with construction managers and contractors to address any issues or concerns that arise during the inspection process
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure that construction materials and methods meet industry standards
  • Verify that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained before construction begins
  • Conduct final inspections to certify completion of construction projects

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in construction inspection or a related degree in Geology, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with construction management principles and practices
  • Understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or defects
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with contractors, construction managers, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
