Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur client, provides spin testing services and equipment for the aerospace, aviation and power generation industries. They are seeking a CMM Programmer/Lead Quality Inspector.

DESCRIPTION:
The CMM programmer/ Lead Quality Inspector is the technical expert for the dimensional inspection of all customer critical rotating
parts and specialized custom tooling. He/she is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of the complete
inspection process. The Lead Inspector / QA will review completed travelers for release to customer. Expectation is 50% of time as
a Lead Inspector and 50% of the time in a QA role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 CMM Programmer (Zeiss background preferred)
 Inspection of manufactured components using mechanical inspection tools and digital inspection equipment
 Review completed travelers and release parts to the customer or DQR.
 Maintain and Control Log for Non-conformances on purchased items and hold weekly Material Review Board meetings (As
needed)
 Fulfill the role of the Delegated Quality Control Representative (DQCR)
 Know and understand all company policies and procedures for this position.
 Maintain cooperative relationships with other departments and personnel
 Keep abreast of new developments relative to inspection and industry trends, as well as new systems and equipment
 Interface with Project Managers to schedule requirements and inspection detail.
 Manage multiple jobs while adhering to deadlines
 Perform 1st article inspections per customer and AS9100 requirements
 Verification of required paperwork
 Maintain good housekeeping practices
 Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

REQUIRED BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
 High School degree from a vocational trade school or equivalent work experience
 5 years minimum prior experience as a quality inspector
 GDT/ANSI Y14.5 experience a must
 Experience in ISO 9001 environment
 Be able to interpret various customer / TDI drawings and specifications
 In-depth knowledge of mechanical inspection equipment and practices
 Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
 Good shop math skills and able to read and write in English.
 Must have the ability and willingness to learn new skills
 Must be able to work alone with little supervision or with others
 Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
 MUST BE A US Citizen
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 Experience in AS9100 environment
 Experience with sampling procedures and visual inspection requirements
 Experience as a Designated Quality Control Representative (DQCR)
