The Mindful Health Foundation is a private healthcare facility seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional Substance Abuse Counselor to join our interdisciplinary treatment team.

We are a private voluntary, behavioral health facility located in Naples, Florida. We provide treatment of dual diagnosis disorders of substance abuse, eating disorders and mental health. We offer three levels of care, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization. We have a small, cohesive team. Most of our team members have worked together for over twenty years. We are looking for a Substance Abuse Counselor who will be responsible for providing quality clinical care from assessment through after care planning and psychotherapeutic services to adult patients with addictive diseases.

Responsibilities:

· Conducts assessments,  group therapy sessions, and individual therapy for patients with addictive diseases in multi-level age groups, e.g., early adult (18-45 years), middle adult (45-59 years) and older adults (60+ years).

· Demonstrates interaction with other treatment and care providers to facilitate the patient’s referral and transfer to the next level of care.

· Demonstrates that documentation of all records is completed in an accurate, pertinent, and timely manner. Required documentation includes biopsychosocial assessment, comprehensive treatment plan, treatment plan reviews, progress notes, group therapy notes and aftercare plan.

· Identifies problems, prioritizes needs, sets measurable objectives and selects appropriate clinical interventions within the program’s scope of services.

· Demonstrates de-escalation techniques and non-violent crisis intervention practices.

Job Requirements:

. Bachelor’s Degree in related field or Associates Degree with an addiction certification

· Basic Life Support- CPR certification

· Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a behavioral health or substance abuse setting.

Job Type: Full-time and apart-time available.
