Multicraft Technician

**Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:**

- Demonstrate expertise in controls, electrical systems, HVAC mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.

- Possess a strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.

- Conduct Preventative Maintenance on equipment according to OEM standards.

- Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment, fixtures, and tooling.

- Complete tasks and repairs with a sense of urgency and prioritize work orders and preventive maintenance based on their importance.

- Maintain accurate records of work orders in the maintenance management system.

- Report any equipment downtime, potential issues, or abnormalities promptly to the maintenance leadership team.

- Operate a range of equipment, including cranes, hoists, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and common power tools.

- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to procedures and regulations.

- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, maintenance leadership, and technical support contractors to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical problems.

- Support project work and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Adjust and correct equipment to optimize performance.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

- Ability to pass drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment tests.

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- 3-5 years of maintenance support experience.

- 1-2 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting.

- Journeyman status or equivalent in a specific trade skill (e.g., millwright, ironworker, electrician).

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Technical certificate or associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

- 5-7 years of maintenance support experience.

- 3-5 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:**

- Adherence to all safety policies.

- Proficient in using electrical devices such as multimeters, voltage testers, and infrared thermometers.

- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

- Operate and proactively service designated machinery as needed.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Effective teamwork skills.

- Flexibility in work environment and activities, with availability for overtime.

- Capability to operate equipment, lift loads, climb ladders, wear a respirator, and perform strenuous labor.

- Manufacturing process knowledge in assembly, fabrication, and paint.

- Self-motivated and self-directed.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Flexible schedule required, including potential 12-hour shifts and 7-day work weeks.

- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently move up to 35 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

- Capability to perform continuous physical activities, including fine movements and large motions.

- Ability to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist.

- Must keep pace with current production speed and be able to push/pull with reasonable force.

- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

- Must work in various climates, including hot, cold, and dusty environments.
