Innovative Foot and Ankle Care is focused on delivering comprehensive care to the lower extremities. We specialize in the treatment of foot and ankle problems as well as provide would, lower extremity, vascular and vein care. Our staff treats various complex conditions including peripheral arterial disease, diabetes, neuropathy, foot ulcers, venous insufficiency, and wounds.

Innovative Foot and Ankle Care is located in Plano, Texas with clients across the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.

The roll of the Medical Assistant will include, but is not limited to, patient care, patient prep examination and select minor procedures. They will also be responsible for keeping rooms and equipment clean at all times, in addition to maintaining documentation and communicating with other practices and insurance companies.

Qualified candidates will be expected to follow established standards and procedures to perform general patient care and deliver exceptional patient care.

Expected Duties:  

• Performs preliminary physical tests in preparation for examination

• Obtains patient information, takes blood pressure, weight, and temperature.

• Reports patient history summary and maintains patient confidence by accurately completing and protecting medical records.

• Assists with patient scheduling, check-in, check-out, patient medical record documentation, and other administrative activities.

• Establishes and complies with policies, standards, and procedures to ensure a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.

• Appropriately manages supplies and inventory placing orders and verifying receipt.

• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; informing doctor of need repairs.

• Follows professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, laws, regulations, and statutes.

• Accepts ownership for accomplishing new and different requests

• Explores opportunities enhance the brand of the practice and add value to job accomplishments.

 

At Innovative Foot and Ankle Care, in regards to their corresponding duties, all employees are expected to do the following:

• Perform quality work within designated timeframe independent of direct supervision

• Maintain professionalism at all times including any direct or indirect interaction with other employees, customers and suppliers

• Contribute adequately as a member of the team.

• Perform required tasks independently while properly communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
