Crate Builder

Work hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm ( Monday through Friday)

You must be very reliable, show great initiative, good attitude, work ethic and a team player.

Essential Duties:

Measure finished product or parts and build crates in the appropriate manner for shipment.
Design and build customized crates to accommodate non-standard shipments.

Pack, skid, band, brace, cover, and weigh parts and/or the fabricated container as required.
Use radial arm saw, panel saw, table saw, hand drills of various sizes, nail gun, sanders, routers, and templates.
Assemble boxes for lighter shipments and pack products.
Maintain tools in good condition and store in their designated areas.
Use hand truck or forklift to move product to shipping dock or storage.
Make patterns for routine drilling.

Assist Plastics Department and other areas of warehouse as necessary.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent desired

Skills:

1- 2 years' experience working in the carpentry field
Proficient in the use of carpenter tools.
Must be able to read, write and understand English fluently.

Forklift certified is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for 8 hour shift

Needs to be fast paced

Needs to be able to lift 50lbs consistently.
