Job DescriptionJob Description

Finance Associate

Responsible for assisting in the billing process, accounts payable and receivable, along with running reports for job costing. In addition, must be a power Excel user and tech savvy with construction software programs.

Salary $50,000.00 to $65,000.00

    1. Vista Viewpoint Experience or similar accounting software - Sage/Timberline/QB
  • GC Pay/Procore Experience or similar platform

Day in the Life

A typical day would start by arriving at Aurora’s main office and addressing any project related emails. Since your responsibilities are to support both project billings and payments, you may need to approve subcontractor requisitions, adjust owner billings, write checks, reconcile accounts or support various analyzes, such as MWBE utilization. You would interact with both the project management team, as well as others in the Finance department. Both of which assist you in prioritizing your workload. Later in the day, you would meet with the entire finance team to set departmental goals and address any open items.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel experience
  • Experience with construction software
  • Contract Management experience
  • Experience with job costing, AIA billing and lien waivers
  • Great Organizational skills for follow up and multitasking
  • 5 years of experience

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • 7 or more years of related experience
  • GC Pay/Procore experience +
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance

Full Time, Non Exempt:

Monday – Friday 8-5pm

(Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand)
