The Early Childhood Center at Temple Shaaray Tefila is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and loving Head 4s teacher. Candidates should be highly motivated, energetic, positive, outgoing, and dedicated team players to join our amazing teaching team.
The ECC is a Reggio-inspired, nurturing, play-based nursery school that instills a lifelong love of learning in each child. Teachers plan emergent curriculum based on the interests of the children. Our educational approach is rooted in the belief that through multi-sensory experiences, discovery, and problem solving, children gain the building blocks necessary to become enthusiastic and confident learners.
This position requires knowledge and skill in working with children ages 4-5, flexibility and ability to differentiate for a variety of learning styles and needs as well as a passion for working with children, colleagues and families. The hours are 8:30 to 1:15, with an option to work in the afternoon program until 2:30pm.
Minimum Qualification/Requirements:
– Associates Degree in Early Childhood, Master’s Degree or NYS CDA
– Experience working with young children
– Warm and nurturing, with the ability to meet the social-emotional needs of young children
– Strong communication skills
– Knowledge of child development and the ability to plan and implement age-appropriate, child-centered curriculum
– Hardworking and eager to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Must be able to lift preschool children when necessary for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
- Must be able to stand on their feet for up to 3 hours a day.
Salary to be determined based on experience & level of education.
