Position Overview: As an ETL Developer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our ETL processes and workflows to support the needs of our organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams of data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, you'll ensure the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of our data integration solutions. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ETL Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and workflows to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into target systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  2. Data Transformation: Transform and cleanse raw data to meet business requirements, using tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, or ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi).
  3. Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, files, APIs, and streaming platforms, ensuring data consistency and coherence across systems.
  4. Performance Optimization: Optimize ETL performance for speed, efficiency, and scalability, tuning ETL processes, optimizing SQL queries, and leveraging parallel processing and distributed computing techniques.
  5. Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and error handling mechanisms to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data in the ETL pipeline.
  6. Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor ETL processes and workflows for performance and reliability, proactively identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  7. Documentation and Collaboration: Document ETL processes, workflows, and best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong background in ETL development, with hands-on experience in designing, building, and optimizing ETL processes and workflows.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
  • Experience with ETL tools and technologies such as Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, or custom ETL frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling and star schemas.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
