Your Role

As a member of Farrell Roofing’s Human Resources and Payroll Department, you are especially important to the success of our branches and our company. Human Resources and Payroll staff ensure that the employee experience is a positive one for all employees and that employee data is properly stored and maintained. Additionally, Human Resources and Payroll staff act as a point of contact for employee questions and ensure that our company is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. The Payroll Associate is vital to ensuring that our employees are paid correctly, on time, and that all payroll issues are resolved as quickly as possible. As an employee of Farrell Roofing, the occupant of this role will be committed to our values of safety, quality, happy customer, and on budget.

Day to Day Responsibilities will include:

· Correcting incorrect checks in Sage 300 CRE.

· Upload payroll information and required weekly forms to LCP tracker as needed.

· Communication with branch(s) to obtain required LCP forms.

· Printing and distribution of weekly Certified Payroll reports to the AR department.

· Updating applicable Payroll Comparison Charts following each union wage update.

· Making Certified Pay Table entries in Sage 300 CRE for all jobs with workers outside of their home union jurisdiction and prevailing wage projects.

· Entering time sheet information into Sage 300 CRE as needed until ExakTime is implemented.

· Monthly union remittance filing and payments.

· Explaining tax implications of traveling to employees who are preparing to travel.

· Sending the appropriate comparison chart to foremen and employees who are traveling. Before they leave for a project outside of their local jurisdiction.

· Additional duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager.

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

· Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality of personnel information.

· High School Diploma or GED.

· 2+ years work experience in a payroll position preferred.

· Knowledge of certified payroll requirements or experience with generating certified payroll reports.

· Knowledge of union requirements in a construction setting.

· Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment regulations.

Employment Requirements:

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· Must be eligible for employment in the United States

· Must have reliable transportation
